No, seriously.
1. Make sure you engine is COLD!
2. Remove fuel lines.
3. With a long extension on a rachet (sp?), localise knock sensor and unbolt. (Easier to write than to do)
4. Do not pull on wire! If you did, goto step 7.
5. Try do remove the knock sensor from the wire from inside the intake manifold. If you can't go to step 6. If you did, do not follow these instructions, you are God.
6. Pull on wire from front of the intake manifold.
7. Remove knock sensor.
8. Install new knock sensor.
9. Try to push the wire the way it was.
10. Curse because you can't.
11. Break wire because knock sensor was stuck.
12. Drive around.
13. Pick up knock sensor on the floor.
14. Weld a new wire to the wire.
15. Try to bolt back the knock sensor.
16. Curse some more.
17. Realise that the bolt doesn't fit anymore.
18. Curse again.
19. On a wild engineer idea, start your engine believing that warm metal is soft.
20. Once engine is warm stop it.
21. Without burning yourself on the intake manifold, try to bolt the knock sensor into place.
22. Praise God that it works!
23. Replace fuel lines.
24. Close hood.
25. Reset ECU error codes.
26. Test drive.
27. Check ECU error codes.
And voilà!
